⚖️ Short Stories About Last Resorts

Info sull'evento

📚 About our sessions
Please read the stories listed below before attending. For every story we will start with summarizing the story so that we have it fresh in our minds. We will share our opinions about the story, which parts we liked and which we didn't like, and we will discuss any and all aspects of the story and the writing.

📖 About this session
The stories for this session come from four classic authors showing different perspectives on what happens when people are pushed to their absolute limits. They are connected by the theme of extreme measures, whether it's a spontaneous crime of passion, a massive wager resulting in 15 years of isolation, a rebellion against a dystopian government, or a quiet struggle against overwhelming loneliness.

🥩 Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl, 1953, ~3500 word
💰 The Bet by Anton Chekhov, 1889, ~2850 word
📺 Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, 1961, ~2200 word
A Clean, Well-Lighted Place by Ernest Hemingway, 1933, ~1450 word

Location might change closer to the event. If the weather is good it is going to be in Trädgårdsföreningen, but in case of rain I will edit to the usual Språkcaféet. Will edit and comment here
