This is a group for those interested in weekday evening Silent Book Club-like events in West Berlin.

What is a Silent Book Club?

In a nutshell:

1. Sign up for the next event
2. Bring the book you are reading (any book is welcome!)
3. Go to the meeting place
4. Say hello to fellow readers
5. Get comfortable and dive into your book quietly
6. Share your thoughts after about 45-50 minutes, if you wish
7. Say goodbye and repeat!

The events take place in cafés, parks, or libraries around Schöneberg and Kreuzberg, lasting about two hours, typically around the time people get off work (6 or 7 PM). All events are free of charge. If we host at a café, we kindly ask you to order something to support our hosts! 💜

Session Breakdown:

• First 15 mins – Arrivals, greetings, warming up 🫖
• Next 50 mins – Quiet Reading 📚
• Final 50 mins – Chatting and sharing thoughts 💬

🕑 A whole session lasts 2 hours 🕑

The idea of Silent Book Clubs originated in the USA and has since spread worldwide, with several groups and events in Berlin.
