Sinne Eeg & Thomas Fonnesbæk
Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring the incredible talents of Sinne Eeg and Thomas Fonnesbæk! Immerse yourself in an evening of enchanting music at the beautiful venue located at Kompagnistræde 34, 1208 Copenhagen, Denmark.
A fixture of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, this concert classic features two distinctive Danish musicians of international caliber. Sinne Eeg and Thomas Fonnesbæk form an unusual duo, performing music's most challenging art: sounding like themselves. With no band and no special sound production—only bass and voice—this exercise in musical intimacy requires the greatest talent. Sinne Eeg's assured phrasing and rich tone is eminently supported by Thomas Fonnesbæk's warm and intuitive bass playing. From the first notes, you notice the enormous spaciousness in the music, creating room for both musicians' creativity and spontaneity. Sinne and Thomas listen carefully to each other and inspire one another to take chances, like two elegant dancers responding to each other's movements. The result is simply enchanting.
Eeg-Fonnesbæk has released two albums and has been awarded a Danish Music Award for Best Vocal Jazz Release. The concert features compositions by both artists as well as reinterpreted numbers by icons such as Joni Mitchell, Thelonious Monk, and The Beatles.
Concert details: 1 × 80 minutes. Doors open 1 hour before the concert. Please note: not all attendees can be guaranteed seating. For accessibility accommodations, contact Drop Inn directly to arrange.
