Small Matters - Art Exhibition Opening reception

Take in the amazing micro textile work of featured Michigan artist, Timnah Dockery. Attention to detail, patience, and deft textile artistry is showcased in 1/6th and 1/12th scale pieces such as mittens and jackets—clothing articles we are all familiar with, albeit much smaller than we have ever encountered. These laborious creations are very far from, and definitely smaller, than your neighbor’s winter crochet project! Supporting artists with pieces smaller than four inches square will complete this exhibit of tiny things at Cocoon Art Space in Eastown (Grand Rapids, MI). The public is invited to attend the opening reception for Small Matters taking place on First Friday, August 7, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This group exhibit will be on display during regular business hours until September 3, 2026.
