Family Group – Fridays 1–3pmMore and more people are finding their way to our Friday SMART Family & Friends group at Hamoaze House.Many arrive carrying a quiet weight. The kind that builds slowly when someone you love is struggling and you are trying your best to help, but often feeling unsure what the right thing to do is.One person who attended recently spoke about their teenage daughter. They described lying awake at night wondering where she was, replaying conversations in their head, and trying to work out whether to say something more, or whether saying too much might push her further away.They talked about the fear many parents recognise — that delicate line between protecting your child and losing their trust.For a long time they had been carrying these worries alone.When they began speaking in the group, something shifted. Around the room were other parents, partners and family members who recognised the story immediately. Heads nodded. People spoke quietly about their own experiences — the sleepless nights, the difficult conversations, and the love that keeps families trying even when things feel overwhelming.The group didn’t promise simple answers.
