Star Party!

Join a ranger for a guided tour of our night sky! Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy:

• 🌠 A constellation tour
• 🔭 Telescope viewing of celestial objects (telescopes provided, but feel free to bring your own!)
• 🔭 Binoculars recommended for a closer look

Accessibility:

• Parking available near Day Use and surrounding areas.
• Restroom at Boat House.
• Drinking water available nearby; bottled water can be purchased inside the park store.
• Path consists of pavement and mowed grass with rock steps down to the Amphitheater.

Program Expectations:

• The park will be dark.
• Please bring red lights only; NO white lights or phones during the program!
• Night vision takes 20-30 minutes to adapt, and white light resets this.
• Wildlife may be active at night; stay with the ranger for safety.

What to Bring:

• Water
• Red light
• Binoculars (optional)
• Telescope (optional but encouraged!)

Program Details:

• When: 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Where: CCC Pavilion/Swimming Area
• Cost: $4 per person ages 13 and older; free for ages 12 and under. Use the self-pay kiosk after 4:45 PM if not camping.
