SYNESTRANSIA Experiment #4: Celebration of Life & New Beginnings

Definition: The “celebration” of something is praise and appreciation which is given to it.

RQ1: Can we translate celebration through sound?
RQ2: Can we collectively call in new beginnings with each other?

This year, many planets have shifted their signs, and nothing is as it was before. How does this feel for each one of us? How does this feel for us as a collective? With endings, comes letting go. With endings, new beginnings arrive. We are ever-changing, and with this edition we want to celebrate life and all the transformations it prompts within us. Shedding is part of life, and we want to embrace this with all of you.

This experiment is for those who have danced with grief. Those who understand that joy can be velvet, joy can be depth, and joy can be the peace of being surrounded by others who feel it too. For our fourth experiment, we seek to better understand the colors of grief and celebration. We come together to acknowledge absence, but not emptiness. It will be a celebration of life:, yours, mine, and ours.

Setting: A new exciting space, Tendermesh Project Space with set design facilitated by @glow.magma and @comf

The Invitation: We invite you to dress in celebration. Not mourning. Not minimalism. But statement. Think texture, silhouette, and sheen. Velvet, leather, silk, lace, sequins, matte, and gloss. You are not dressing for a funeral. You are dressing for a soirée. A celebration of depth, of mystery, of the beauty that emerges when the lights go down and the real connection begins.

Participants: You, your grief and joy, and your friends. Sounds of celebration provided with a live set by ASPHODÈLE (LA) who interprets maroon and through DJ Sets by comf who playing yellow, COTTON (NYC) celebrating life through the colour pink, DJ Trade Trainer embracing gold and MADAKYA sonically exploring silver.

The Question: This evening, we are guided by a single inquiry: Can celebration be felt—and seen—through a single color? We believe the answer is yes. Because color is not just visual. It is emotional. It is atmospheric. And when we collectively immerse ourselves in its shades, we embrace it.

The Promise: This will be a night of intentional music listening, self-expression, and communal alchemy—just like our previous experiments. But this time, we celebrate with quiet power. With understated radiance. With the knowledge that joy, in its truest form, does not need to shout. It only needs to be felt. Come ready to listen, to connect, and to revel in the glorious mystery of the night. You are invited. Bring your friends. Bring your openness. Bring your joy—dressed in its most elegant form. We provide the sound, the light, and the space. You provide the perception.
