(T4) Nädligergrat, Altmann (T5-), Säntis

🌄 Join us for an alpine hiking adventure!

It seems like Alpstein won't get rains on Saturday (before evening), so the aim is to go to Säntis and nearby peaks.

⚠️ Note: In case of possible thunderstorms, I will cancel/move this hike.

Difficulty: T4, alpine hiking trail. Altmann is T5-, but can be skipped by whoever doesn't want to do it.

Meeting point and time:

• Location: Zurich HB, below the blue angel at 06:25.
• Train: We take an IC3 train at 06:38, changing in Sargans and Buchs. We arrive at Wildhaus, Dorf bus station at 08:28.

Getting back:

• Bus/train connection from Schwägalp, Passhöhe every hour at xx:18 and xx:32 until 18:32.

Profile: 16km, 2050m up, 1800m down.

Pace: Moderate (~500 uphill meters/hour), no running. Please ensure you know what that pace is before joining.

Lunch: Bring your own food; we will have lunch around 13:00.

Recommended gear:

• Hiking shoes/boots
• Waterproof jacket in case of rain
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses

Weather: ~13°C is expected in Säntis, and no rain. This hike will take place in any weather except thunderstorms.
