The world's first protest against insect farming

🚨 The insects need you! Join us for a groundbreaking event on July 30th at 10:30 AM at Teleportboulevard 105, where we will stage the world's first anti-insect farming protest!

🦗 What’s the issue? The Dutch company Protix operates the world’s largest insect farm, raising and killing billions of black soldier fly larvae. Many of these insects are fed to salmon and shrimp on aquafarms, raising concerns that insect farming adds to, rather than replaces, animal farming.

💔 The good news... Protix is struggling financially! They've laid off many employees, failed to partner with Tyson Foods on a new factory, and will need more funding to avoid shutting down.

📉 A report by the Stockholm Environment Institute debunks key claims of the industry, showing it's a biodiversity risk and poses emerging animal welfare concerns. Read the report here (scroll to page 5 for the summary).

💰 Who is funding this? InvestNL, a taxpayer-funded investment fund, is among Protix’s key investors. Our message is simple: Side with the science and don’t fund insect farming!
