Third Friday Durham: The Scrap Exchange's 35th Birthday

Get ready for a night of dancing, celebration, and sustainable art! 🌍 Join us at CCB Plaza for an unforgettable evening featuring Mongo, the Scrap Exchange’s beloved blue mascot, brought to life by Jeghetto’s Entertainment (Tarish Pipkins) along with live music from Emma Jane and DJ MARRS spinning fantastic tunes.

Mongo, crafted from materials diverted from landfills, will bob and sway, waving his vibrant red yarn arms to the eclectic sounds of indie-pop and alternative jazz fusion. This playful, larger-than-life performance will light up the heart of downtown! 🎶

We’re also rolling out the festivities to celebrate The Scrap Exchange’s birthday, marking 35 years of creativity, environmental awareness, and community spirit through reuse! 🎂
