Tomi Leino, a veteran musician whose guitar serenades the essence of blues and roots music, has taken his craft from Karkkila to California. Over the years, his dedication has established him as one of Europe's most esteemed blues musicians. His soulful and skillful playing captivates listeners, and he has shared the stage with renowned blues artists worldwide.

Tomi's first love for music ignited with the legendary Hurriganes that rocked Finland, inspiring him to form his first bands as a teenager, sparking his passion for guitar. Blues entered his life in his twenties when he encountered the band Chicago Overcoat, which sparked a profound interest in roots music and its rich history. Tomi knew that blues was his calling, driving him to immerse himself in this expressive genre.

For Tomi, blues cannot be learned through traditional education; it’s about living life and telling stories through music. While he draws from a vast array of influences, he strives for authenticity and seeks to find his unique sound.

The Tomi Leino Trio, featuring Mikko Peltola on drums and Jaska Prepula on bass, has performed extensively abroad, including countries like Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other parts of Central Europe. This year, the trio proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary. They have released several albums, and in honor of this milestone, new music will be recorded at Leino’s own Suprovox studio this autumn.
