During Figma Config, we’re hosting a special Happy Hour at the btrax office, conveniently located near the conference venue, bringing together creatives from around the world who are gathering in San Francisco.

Whether you're visiting from Japan for Config or are a local designer, marketer, engineer, entrepreneur, or creative professional, this is a great opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and exchange ideas.

James Hsu, Founder @ Dark UX Academy
James Hsu has 18 years in design, most recently, as a design executive at Crunchyroll. Before that, he worked at FabFitFun, Disney, and Live Nation. In every one of those rooms, he watched the same thing happen. The smartest designer kept losing to people with worse ideas and better politics.

Sometimes that was someone he managed. Sometimes it was him. Nobody teaches the layer above craft. Business, influence, selling yourself, and being visible so that you can not just survive in corporate, but actually thrive. He founded Dark UX Academy to help design leaders fix that.

Brandon K. Hill, Found & CEO, btrax

Brandon K. Hill is the Founder and CEO of btrax, a San Francisco- and Tokyo-based design and innovation consultancy that helps companies expand globally through design, branding, and market strategy.
He also serves as the Japan Lead for The AI Collective, one of the world's largest AI communities, fostering collaboration at the intersection of AI, design, and business. In addition, he advises the City and County of San Francisco on innovation-related initiatives.
A frequent speaker, writer, and podcast host, Brandon shares insights on design, AI, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural business.
