We’re excited to welcome back pianist and composer Vardan Ovsepian for a special presentation of his Spiderweb Project at Motivo! Joining Vardan is a talented ensemble featuring:

In eastern philosophy, "Maya" translates to Illusion, akin to a spider’s web. This metaphor highlights how we are born woven into our own illusions. The spider weaves its web for survival but can easily become trapped if it loses its path.

Similarly, when humans cling to the material and ego-driven illusions of the world, we entangle ourselves in desires, fears, and karma. Liberation lies in recognizing the web as merely a mesmerizing play of shadows, rather than the ultimate reality.
