Volunteer day at Newgate Nature Reserve

Experience the transformation of a former landfill into a vibrant nature haven at Newgate Nature Reserve! This beautiful site, which closed in 2000, has evolved into an ecosystem filled with open grasslands, budding woodlands, and wetland areas, showcasing a remarkable biodiversity.

🤝 Join the Bollin Valley Partnership Rangers and Mersey Rivers Trust for a day of hands-on conservation work. We'll be coppicing trees and building dead hedges to support the natural landscape. All tools will be provided; just bring your own gloves and wear sturdy boots to navigate the rough terrain.
