Walnut Street Extension Trail Walk at Greenfield

The meadows established along the Walnut Street Extension Trail (Goats Path) are truly phenomenal. Join us for a guided hike with the Lancaster Conservancy as we explore meadow ecosystems and discuss the restoration efforts and ongoing management challenges that help these habitats thrive. Along the way, we may encounter praying mantises, a variety of butterflies and other pollinators, as well as hawks and songbirds that call these meadows home. This is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike on a paved trail surface with little to no shade. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and bring drinking water. This program is suitable for ages 5 and older. Participant Capacity: 25 participants. Free and open to all.
