West African Level 1 (drop-in class)

About the Event:

Join us for our weekly West African Drumming Level 1 drop-in class every Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with instructor Dan! This class is suitable for all gender identities and designed for beginners to advanced beginners.

Cost: $15 per participant per class. Drums are provided!

In this session, you'll learn basic West African rhythms and techniques while building your confidence and understanding of the music. Walk-ins are welcome!

Getting There and Accessibility:

Please be prepared to remove your street shoes at the door. You are welcome to bring slippers or non-street shoes to wear during class. We also have a limited supply of clean socks available to borrow. This no-street shoe policy is in place to protect our new floor for future generations.

Our center is located in the basement of the Dow Building, accessible by one flight of stairs.
