Wilder Things Than Us - FREE Live Music at Fretwell Spartanburg, SC

Join us for a night of live music with Wilder Things Than Us! 🎤

This project began around 2012 in Naples, FL, originally known as My Girl My Whiskey & Me. Founding member George chose the name based on a song by the Rayado Ruffians, marking his first encounter with the mandolin and bluegrass music.

After some lineup changes, George and his wife Kelly emerged as a duo in Upstate South Carolina, crafting their unique sound. They blend the earthy tones of Appalachian music with various influences, often described as Progressive Bluegrass and Folk Rock. A fan even dubbed their style “Zappalachain”! Expect a mix of original songs and covers, featuring elements of jazz, blues, and punk—no genre is off-limits! 🎸

Located just steps off the Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail, Fretwell is Spartanburg’s vibrant gathering spot, offering a relaxed atmosphere for community and cultural events for all ages. 🌳
