Join us for a fascinating journey through Woodland Cemetery, founded in 1841, making it one of the oldest rural cemeteries in the United States. 🏛️ Discover the final resting places of notable figures such as the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Erma Bombeck, and many more famous and infamous Daytonians.

Meeting Point: Eichelberger Plaza at the main gates of the cemetery.

Additional Info:

  • Parking is available inside and outside the gates. 🚗
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes and feel free to bring a water bottle. 💧
  • Tours will proceed rain or shine, except in cases of thunder or lightning.

All tours require a reservation, and there is a suggested donation of $5. All donations support the Woodland Arboretum Foundation, focused on restoration, preservation, and educational projects, ensuring that Woodland remains a cultural resource for Dayton and Ohio. 🌿
