Workshops with the artists Jinyan Zeng, Shi Tou & Mingming @ Dawit Isaak Library

Join us for a day of artistic exploration at the Dawit Isaak Library! 🌍✨ No need to pre-register; everyone is welcome to participate in enriching workshop activities led by talented artists.

Workshop Highlights:

1. Animating Women's Solidarity: History, Location, Technology, Body by Jinyan Zeng

   • Discover excerpts from her film “Outcry and Whisper” and engage in a reflective discussion on animation and storytelling.
   • Bring Your Photos! Participants are encouraged to select images of women in everyday activities from personal albums to inspire their storylines.
   • Pens and paper will be provided to create storyboards for a short animation, culminating in a group sharing session.

2. Live Activation: Movement & Games with Shi Tou and Mingming

   • Experience an interactive game that challenges your balance and sensory perception, promoting connection and fun!
   • View the video work “Small steps”, crafted in 2024 during the Walking as Practice Program in Björkö, Sweden.

   “We walk through forests, we walk among clouds, we walk upon the Baltic Sea...” 🌲☁️🌊

This event is part of the “a solidary world” project by UNICORN Artists in Solidarity, in collaboration with Dawit Isaak-biblioteket, Galleri Måsen, and Malmö Pride, funded by Kulturrådet.
