World AI Week | The True Cost of AI: A Hands-On Workshop for Building AI Products Responsibly (Ladies first)

Info sull'evento

This event is part of the World AI Week 2026. Ladies first, which means everyone's welcome, but women will be granted priority to attend this event.
What does AI cost?

Energy, water, data, social consequences, governance questions - the answers are complex!|

This session tackles the true cost of AI through a practical, accessible lens, looking beyond hype and productivity gains to examine the environmental, social, and economic implications of AI use.

The goal is not to make people feel guilty for using AI, but to help them better understand the systems they rely on and make more informed choices about how they use them in their work.

The session combines awareness-building with hands-on examples, including ways to make AI usage more tangible through simple tracking tools, comparisons, and discussion prompts that attendees can take back to their own organizations.
You'll:
Understand the true cost of AI (not abstract, but actual cost)
Learn to use it efficiently (context window management = practical skill)
Build a solution during the hands-on piece, so you can apply knowledge in practice, also after the workshop.
Exact programme will be announced soon. There will be pizza and drinks at the event.
Location: Edge Technologies Olympic office. It's easily accessible by public transport (metro) and you can park at P+R Olympic Stadium.

This event is organized by Marta from Ladies Build With AI, a community that helps women get into AI by teaching practical AI skills to build real-world projects and Madalina Buzdugan, a sustainable director who helps fast-growing companies turn sustainability and AI from buzzwords into real strategy.
There will be photos taken during the event.
