5th Annual Christmas in July Paddle

It's that time again, everyone! 🌟 The Christmas in July Paddle is back for its 5th year, and the excitement is palpable! This festive paddle, which began in the 2022 PnP season, has transformed into a beloved annual tradition. 🎉 If you’re new to the group, you won’t want to miss this event! While Christmas attire and board decorations aren’t mandatory, they are highly recommended for a truly festive atmosphere! 🎅🎄

This year, our special paddle will take place on a Saturday, July 25th. Get ready for a few new logistical details:

1. Parking: 🚗 With the peak season on a Saturday, Merwins' parking lot may fill up quickly. Fortunately, the Cleveland Rowing Foundation is offering their parking lot for a $5 donation per car. Please keep the main Merwins lot available, and use the side lot only if necessary. Parking passes will be available for those who need to park at CRF—payment through cash, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo will be accepted.

2. River Traffic: 🚤 Expect heavier boat traffic on the river this year. It’s crucial that we stick to “River Right” as much as possible and keep our paddling chain two people wide. I'm seeking a few volunteers to help us stay safe by paddling alongside the main group and preventing congestion on the river.
