His insights revolve around digital phenomenology, virtual ontology, and the profound implications of being online. He extensively writes about virtual realms, digital communities, and artificial intelligence.
Andrew McLuhan, director of The McLuhan Institute, carries on the legacy of his grandfather Marshall and father Eric McLuhan, exploring the intricate connections between culture, media, and technology. With over a decade spent alongside his father, Andrew continues their pioneering work. He has lectured globally, advised various organizations, and led educational workshops, including the renowned Understanding Media Intensive at Gray Area. His documentation of Marshall McLuhan's annotated library is preserved at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library and is recognized by UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.
