"I was so amazed at the possibilities of the acoustic guitar revealed by players like Hedges. The idea of exploring alternate tunings while covering rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic ideas fascinated me. The guitar became my voice for expressing personal feelings that were difficult to articulate with words."

In 2006, Andy's original composition "Drifting" went viral on YouTube, leading to widespread recognition. His other pieces like "Rylynn" and "Into the Ocean" also captured viewers' imaginations, accumulating millions of views and inspiring countless individuals to embrace fingerstyle guitar. Notable artists such as Calum Graham and Sungha Jung cite Andy as a significant influence.
