Ballet Legato "The Nutcracker" OPEN Student Auditions

Join Ballet Legato for the sixth annual performance of The Nutcracker at the Hoke Theatre, Stocker Center! This is an opportunity for dancers aged 5 and up to become part of a professional ballet production. 🎉

The magic of The Nutcracker comes alive as children can experience the enchanting roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her brave Cavalier.

🎉 Audition Details:

• Who can audition? Dancers ages 5 and up established in a dance curriculum.
• What to bring? A headshot (does not need to be professional) and come dressed in leotard, tights, and ballet slippers. If you don’t have slippers, socks are fine. Hair should be in a bun and off of the face.
• Non-refundable audition fee: $30 (cash or check to Ballet Legato).

🎭 Audition Schedule:

• Ages 5-7: 10am-10:30am
• Ages 8-10: 10:45am-11:30am
• Intermediate/Advanced (Ages 11+): 11:45am-12:45pm

📅 Important Dates:

• Mandatory Parent Meeting: Sunday, August 23 at 2pm at Ballet Legato Studios
• Tech Rehearsals:
  • November 22: 10am-5pm
  • December 6: 10am-5pm
  • December 7-8: 5pm-9pm
• Performances: December 12-13, 2026 at Stocker Arts Center

🎯 Commitment Requirement:
