Om arrangementet

The performance by Bára Hrzánová & Condurango is not a typical concert, but a unique musical-theatrical form that blends music, storytelling, the rhythm of speech, humor, and theatrical energy. The program is built around distinctive interpretations of songs inspired by folk literature, blues, chanson, and poetic storytelling. A key element is the work with lyrics, rhythm, and the spontaneity of a live performance, which can entertain and move audiences with equal ease. Condurango was founded in the early 1980s at DAMU by Bára Hrzánová and Pavel Anděl, who were later joined by other notable musicians, including Ivo Novák, Miloš Šikola, and the legendary accordionist Mário Bihári. The current lineup combines experience with fresh energy and, after a hiatus of several years, is returning in full force with a new repertoire. The music of Bára Hrzánová and Ivo Novák brings to life not only their own lyrics but also poetry and literary inspirations ranging from Federico García Lorca and Christian Morgenstern to J.R.R. Tolkien and Otokar Březina. The result is a concert that has drive, humor, the joy of music-making, and the unique atmosphere of a shared experience.
