Bone Cave Hike

Join us for a short hike at Bone Cave State Natural Area! 🥾 We will hike to the entrance of Big Bone Cave while discussing the natural and historical significance of this area.

• Distance: 0.5 mile one way
• Difficulty: Moderately strenuous with a steep hill

This hike is perfect for those who enjoy hiking, history, and learning about caves. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and snacks! 💧🍎

Meeting Point: Rock Island State Park Visitor Center at 9 AM. We will follow Park Staff to Bone Cave State Natural Area via car caravan. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.

Participation: Limited to 15 people. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

In case of inclement weather, the event may be cancelled, and all attendees will be notified by text message or email, so please provide a good contact when signing up. Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled by the park.
