Book presentation: ‘Sculptural Monuments of Palenque’ ("Monumentos Escultóricos de Palenque")

The Mexican Embassy in Germany invites you to the launch of the book "Monumentos Escultóricos de Palenque", edited by Dr. Martha Cuevas from the National Institute of Anthropology and History, Mexico. 📚

This book is the result of over a decade of work in recording, documenting, restoring, and cataloging the sculptural art of the Mayan city of Lakamha in the Palenque region of Mexico. The authors, epigraphers Yuriy Polyukhovich (Ukraine) and Ángel Adrián Sánchez Gamboa (Mexico), present over 200 sculptural works, enhanced by illustrations from Jorge Pérez de Lara Elías and Gabriel Cedillo García Lascurain, along with drawings from various researchers. This presentation aims to illuminate Mayan culture and the significance of such analyses. 🌄
