Join us for a remarkable celebration as Bert Joris, renowned trumpeter, composer, and bandleader, turns seventy! 🎉
This event marks a special reunion with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra (BJO), a collaboration that has flourished over three decades, producing iconic albums such as Dangerous Liaison (2006), Signs and Signatures (2010), and Smooth Shake (2017).
The highlight of their journey has been The Music of Bert Joris (2001), an album acclaimed worldwide, setting the standard for big band music. 🎷
At Bozar, Bert Joris and the BJO will perform new works and record music for an upcoming album, planned for release in spring 2027. Come experience the unique BJO sound fused with Joris's soft, distinctive timbres and lyrical playing!
