Coastal Daytrip by bus to Harg and Öregrund
Join Cult of Sweden for a delightful summer daytrip that beautifully blends art, local history, coastal scenery, and enjoyable social time! 🌞
Starting from Uppsala, we will take a private bus to Harg Järnbod, home to a stunning old stone building dating back to 1758. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore a unique art and craft exhibition organized by Konstvarning, featuring works from both members and invited artists. The exhibitions are curated by the artists themselves, ensuring engaging and personal interactions between visitors and creators. Don't forget to stop by the café, where you can indulge in some delectable homemade treats! 🍰
During our bus journey, your social host will provide a brief introduction in English about the fascinating locations we are visiting, helping you appreciate their rich history and charm.
We'll spend 1.5 hours in Harg before proceeding to Öregrund, a picturesque summer town known for its quaint streets and relaxed coastal atmosphere. 🌅 In Öregrund, we will break into smaller groups based on interests and plans. You have the option to join a pre-booked restaurant or enjoy your time leisurely, exploring the town, soaking in the seaside vibe, or perhaps even taking a swim from the rocks! 🏊♀️
In the afternoon, we will head back to Uppsala, but if you would prefer to stay longer in Öregrund, you can return to Uppsala later using the local bus (local transportation costs not included).
