CURRENTS: Composers in Motion brings together cinematic music, live chamber performance, and movement artists inside the Glorya Kaufman Center at the Wende Museum.
The evening starts with a garden reception 🌿 before you're invited into the theater. Inside, original works by contemporary composers unfold through live strings, piano, electronics, and captivating movement.
Each piece carries its own memory, perspective, and point of origin, creating a shared current through identity, connection, transformation, and what history carries forward.
At a museum named for the idea of a “turning point,” CURRENTS poses questions about change over time, what stays with us, and what is possible when diverse creative voices converge.
This is not a traditional concert; it’s an intimate encounter with new music, the creators behind it, and the stories that lie beneath the surface.
