Dave Warner's From the Suburbs - 50 Years Strong | SYDNEY

Om arrangementet

Join us this October as we celebrate a remarkable milestone: the fiftieth anniversary of Dave Warner’s From the Suburbs, one of Australia's most distinctive bands! ⭐

Dave Warner, affectionately known as Suburban Boy, has been hailed by Bob Dylan as one of his favorite Australian artists. He first made waves with his 1972 proto-punk band Pus, later refining his sound into what he called ‘suburban rock’—akin to the Brit ‘kitchen-sink, angry young-man’ cinema.

In the late 70s, Dave Warner’s From the Suburbs brought an explosion of energy and originality to Australia's rock scene with their album Mugs Game, which achieved gold status in just eight weeks! Tracks like “Convict Streak” and “Half Time at the Football” were groundbreaking, showcasing a uniquely Australian take on culture that even led to Warner's arrest for singing “obscene songs.” 🚨

Now, as we commemorate this illustrious era, DWFTS will rock the stage at The Bridge Hotel, Rozelle, for their only performance in Sydney! 🌟 Expect an incredible show filled with classic hits from Pus, Mugs Game, Free Kicks, and more, featuring most of the original lineup alongside special guests.

🕒 Prepare for more than two hours of nostalgia and excitement as Dave, Tony, Howie, Paul, and an ensemble of talented musicians relive their journey from womb to tomb! Don't miss this chance to be a part of history.

🎟️ Tickets are now available at MOSHTIX!

🔑 Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the show kicks off at 7:30 PM. Seating is limited and unreserved, so get your tickets early!
