Degrees of Freedom: Bring Your Own Robot
Join us for a monthly working night dedicated to builders of embodied AI, where no robot is necessary to participate!
You've crafted that arm at your kitchen table and trained the AI policy overnight on your gaming rig. You've even gathered teleoperation data in your garage, but one thing seems to be missing: labmates.
Degrees of Freedom is the perfect opportunity for those creating physical AI without the support of a lab. Bring your robot, transfer that stubborn simulation, or put together that gripper that's been waiting since the hackathon. For two hours, your fellow participants will be your labmates!
Schedule
- 6:00 PM - Kickoff: Introduce yourself, share what you're building, and outline what you want to achieve by 9 PM.
- 6:30-8:30 PM - Bench Time: Enjoy two hours of focused work in a quiet space, but loud enough to seek help when stuck.
- 8:30 PM - Demos: Showcase your progress or present the challenges you're facing to a room full of experienced builders.
Why Attend?
The person next to you has probably encountered and resolved your bug. Robotics challenges often span multiple disciplines, and collaborating in a mixed-builder environment can be the quickest route to a solution.
The set goal and dedicated hours can advance your project more effectively than many weekends!
