Om arrangementet

Join us for an inspiring showcase as Calder Kamin and Meagan Killian unveil their latest creations from their three-month residency at the Factory on Willow! 🌟

These two talented artists, hailing from Texas, immersed themselves in the vibrant creative community of Manchester, exploring local galleries, meeting fellow artists, and engaging with the region's rich culture.

🌍 Calder Kamin - Known for transforming trash into stunning works of art, she motivates others to embrace creativity and innovation for a brighter future. Calder's recycled creations have been featured in museums nationwide, and her workshops are aimed at inspiring sustainable art practices. Don't miss her contributions to PBS’s Arts In Context and two Disney Channel commercials, advocating for creative reuse.

🏛️ Meagan Killian - Her work navigates the relationship between the human body and cathedral architecture, probing themes of resilience, vulnerability, and inheritance. By reflecting on how various structural systems interact with both internal and external forces, Meagan's art prompts meaningful conversations about stability and change over time.

✨ The Factory's Artist In Residency Program supports up to six artists each year, providing room, board, art supplies, and stipends, enabling them to fully focus on their creative work. Come celebrate this culmination of their residency with a community exhibition that showcases the growth of their artistic journeys!
