Join the legendary Fat Freddy’s Drop as they return to the stage in 2026 for an exceptional worldwide tour celebrating their iconic album Based on a True Story. Two decades after its release, this groundbreaking record continues to inspire generations of fans with its unique blend of reggae, soul, dub, funk, and electronic groove.
They will be performing at five select dates across France this fall:

• 🎸 September 28 - Le Bikini, Toulouse
• 🎸 October 6 - Le Radiant, Lyon
• 🎸 October 7 - Le Rocher de Palmer, Bordeaux
• 🎸 October 9 - Le Zénith, Nantes
• 🎸 October 10 - Le Zénith Paris - La Villette
  This tour marks a poignant moment for the band, as it's their first series of performances since the passing of Chris “MU” Faiumu, a founding member and cornerstone of their sound. The musicians have chosen to continue this journey in tribute to their brother-in-arms and the music they created together. As singer Dallas Tamaira states, "Honoring our intentions with MU also means playing this album live, with all our heart."
  Released in 2005, Based On A True Story has become a true phenomenon—an independent album that held the longest chart tenure in New Zealand's Top 40, winning eight New Zealand Music Awards and the Worldwide Music Award from Gilles Peterson in the UK. This masterpiece was a springboard for an international career filled with legendary concerts and an unbreakable bond with the audience.
