General Echo - the return of Musclehead!

Join us for an electrifying monthly reggae disco in North-East London! This event is dedicated to the late MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the iconic voice behind the legendary tune "Drunken Master."

For this session, we are thrilled to welcome back the heavyweight selector, Lloyd 'Musclehead' Francis, from the famed Saxon Sound System! Having rocked the venue during a past summer event, we anticipate another masterclass in 45 selection this time around.

Founded in 1976 by Dennis Rowe and Musclehead, Saxon Sound System became a force in the UK reggae scene during the early '80s, with talents like Tippa Irie, Smiley Culture, Peter King, and many more making waves. Renowned for their unforgettable clashes and international performances—most notably at London's Notting Hill Carnival—Saxon has profoundly influenced artists like Massive Attack and The Bug.

Musclehead’s selection spans classic rocksteady, dancehall, and exclusive dubplates. Experience some of the greatest music ever made in a charming, old-school social club!
