About Bror Hjorth:

• Born: 1894, Uppsala
• Artistic education in Paris during the 1920s
• Trained as a sculptor, also a painter and professor at the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm
• Influenced by both older and contemporary art, inspired by folk art and music.

The museum houses the largest and most representative collection of Bror Hjorth’s art.
