Everyone wants to start from perfect. Finished products. Complete thoughts. Curated and polished presentations of who we are on instagram reels and tik toks. Afraid to say how adrift, afloat, or dry-docked we might feel, especially in today’s what the heck is even happening world?
What if we start from here: listening? Sharing a sea of attention. Playing with a typewriter and a cello—and a building. Join us for an experimental interactive performance. Come see what happens when we welcome the unknown and a primordial sense of the absurd.
This collaborative, experimental performance has been developed expressly for our space at Bldg 12 by local artists silvi alcivar (Typewriter), James Jaffe (Cello), Max Savage (Audio/film), and Cris Luu (Audio).

• 7-8 pm: Social hour to view the current exhibit, see the existence of the creative community IRL, and have a beer from Standard Deviant.
• 8:15 pm: Performance begins.
• Guests are invited to linger after the performance to connect with other artists and creatives.

This is the first installment of HEAR, HERE!, a new series of gatherings by 3RD ST CREATIVE ARTERY. Attentive listening is an exchange that requires intentionally making space to make it possible. For this series, we’ll turn the viewing deck into an experimental listening room, with sounds, performances, readings, and music.
