Intermediate Ceramics – Plates & Bowls

Join Rob Johnson for our Intermediate Ceramics class, designed for students who are ready to build on their skills! 🎨

Class Details:

• Prerequisite: Ability to wedge clay and operate an electric pottery wheel.
• Duration: 4-week class on Saturdays, starting from Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26.
• Time: 12:30 – 3 p.m.

What You’ll Learn:

• Explore various approaches to creating plates and bowls, differentiating them from cylinder-derived pottery.
• Learn about low coup, high coup, and rim or gallery style plate forms, including strategies for enlarging to platter size.
• Discover trimming techniques and rim treatments, along with glazing solutions tailored for these forms.
