Inwood Canoe Club’s Sunday Open House

Join us for our exciting Sunday Open House at the Inwood Canoe Club, where the Hudson River meets adventure! 🌅 Enjoy complimentary guided kayak trips lasting approximately 20 minutes, just north of the iconic George Washington Bridge.

Important Details:

• Participation: Before you join us on the water, please complete your 2025 Season Waiver to ensure your safety and readiness!
• Signup: Arrive early to secure your spot—registration opens at 9 a.m., and we have three guided “waves” available on a first-come, first-served basis:
  • Wave 1: Arrive at 9:45 a.m., launch at 10:00 a.m.
  • Wave 2: Arrive at 10:30 a.m., launch at 10:45 a.m.
  • Wave 3: Arrive at 11:15 a.m., launch at 11:30 a.m.
• Kayaking Options: You can kayak solo or with a friend in a tandem kayak (subject to availability). We welcome paddlers of all experience levels!

Every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, families, friends, and new faces can come together for a memorable paddling experience. Note: Open House will shift to Saturday, July 12, due to the City of Water Day. For more details, click here.

Tips for a Great Experience:

• Guests must be able to swim and be at least 8 years old. Minors should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Wear appropriate clothing and shoes that can get wet! 🩴🌊
• We provide all necessary gear—boats, paddles, and PFDs (personal flotation devices)—so there's no need to worry about bringing your own!
• Please limit valuables; they need to be left at the boathouse without liability from the ICC.
• Pets are not allowed at the Open House.

Since its inception in 2002, our Open House has proudly been the sole walk-up kayaking program in Northern Manhattan, serving over 1,000 guests each summer! 🎉
