Open House 2025: Sundays, May 25 – August 31

Join us for our FREE guided 20-minute kayak trips on the beautiful Hudson River, right just north of the George Washington Bridge! 🌅

Important Information:

• When: Every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 25 – August 31, 2025).
• Note: Open House will not be held on Sunday, July 13. Instead, it will take place the day before on Saturday, July 12, for City of Water Day.

Sign-Up Details:

• Sign ups start in person at 9 a.m. for three guided “waves” on a first come, first served basis. Remember to be on time once you’ve signed up to secure your spot!

Wave Times:

• Wave 1: Arrive 9:45 a.m., launch 10:00 a.m.
• Wave 2: Arrive 10:30 a.m., launch 10:45 a.m.
• Wave 3: Arrive 11:15 a.m., launch 11:30 a.m.

Kayaking Experience:

• Paddle in one of our 12 sit-on-top kayaks or a tandem kayak (built for two). Enjoy fun on the water with family, friends, or make new acquaintances in our “canoemaran” which accommodates up to six guests + two ICC “Turtles” (members). 🛶

Additional Details:

• All guests must be able to swim 🤿.
• Minimum age of 8 years; guests under 18 must bring a parent or guardian. Access for minors is at the discretion of the club member running the Open House.
• We provide the boat, paddle, and PFD (personal flotation device/life vest). 🍂
• Please wear shoes and clothes suitable for getting wet!
• Limit valuables brought; store at the boathouse or use a personal waterproof bag. ICC is not responsible for lost valuables.
• No pets allowed at Open House. 🐾🚷

Since our Open House began in 2002, we have proudly offered the only walk-up kayaking program in Northern Manhattan, serving over 1,000 guests each summer!
