Lake Malice, inspired by Japanese anime, creates a unique blend of metalcore, hyperpop, and nu-metal. They are returning to the Czech Republic with their upcoming album I Wanna Know If It’s Real! The band consists of Alice Guala and Blake Cornwall from Brighton, UK. They debuted with their first single “Blossom” just five years ago and have already received two nominations at the Heavy Music Awards for “Best British Breakthrough” and “Best Live Breakthrough.” They have toured with artists like Enter Shikari, Skindred, Bloodywood, Vukovi, and Vended. Czech fans may remember them as the opening act for Enter Shikari or Blackout Problems. In 2025, they made their debut at Rock for People.

Their debut album, I Wanna Know If It’s Real, will be released on September 11, 2026. Alice Guala shared, “We wrote this album wanting something autobiographical that captures a moment in history and the feelings of an entire generation. As millennials, we have undergone a unique and drastic transformation in how our social connections function and how we measure our own worth. Now, we are experiencing the rise of artificial intelligence, which was one of the main inspirations for this album. In just a few decades, we have lived without the internet, then with social media, and now with AI.”
