Listening Session: Don't Bring an Instrument - Sonic Commons

Join us for an immersive Listening Session hosted by Don't Bring an Instrument, a unique sound art platform spearheaded by Aron Fogelström and Stella Dieden Richter. This session will present selected excerpts from the Sonic Commons workshop, where participants translated the city's ambient noise into a collective auditory experience.

🌆 Attendees will enjoy a multichannel speaker setup that enhances the richness of the sound, followed by an open discussion to reflect on our relationship with urban environments through sound. No prior preparation is needed—just bring your ears!

✨ As part of the public program for the exhibition LIBERATION RADIO, this event encourages collective listening and reflection on capturing and archiving sound, which is often elusive.

🎨 About the Hosts:

• Aron Fogelström is an audio-visual artist and filmmaker whose works, presented at venues such as the Seoul Mediacity Biennale and Nobel Week Lights, delve into linguistic science fiction through sound.
• Stella Dieden Richter, currently pursuing a Master’s at the Royal Institute of Art, explores themes of performance, installation, and sound, with a focus on the adaptation and resistance of bodies within various infrastructures. Her work has featured at several important exhibitions.
