They dazzled fans with their debut album Those Who Are About To Die Salute You, followed by hits like Valentyne Suite (1969) and The Daughter of Time is Truth (1970). The group saw notable personnel changes, welcoming the soulful Chris Farlowe, celebrated for his Sixties hit Out Of Time, alongside guitar virtuoso Clem Clempson and bassist Mark Clarke. Though they disbanded in 1971, their music continues to resonate. 🎸

On the other hand, Soft Machine, named after the William S. Burroughs novel, emerged from the Canterbury scene in 1966. Formed by Daevid Allen, Kevin Ayers, Mike Ratledge, and Robert Wyatt, they shared the stage with legends like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Frank Zappa. With a series of remarkable albums, this iconic band left a lasting legacy before parting ways in 1978. 🎤
