Michael Malis Quintet

Join us for an enchanting evening featuring Michael Malis, a renowned composer and pianist based in Detroit, MI. Known for his versatility, Malis blends jazz with multimedia artistry, creating captivating performances that resonate with audiences.

In July 2020, he released Dualisms, a multimedia project showcasing original compositions alongside talented artists like saxophonist Kaleigh Wilder and percussionist Thom Monks. This project has been acclaimed by All About Jazz as an extraordinary illustration of how artists adapted their craft during the pandemic.

Malis has collaborated with a host of esteemed musicians and organizations, delivering riveting performances and compositions that highlight the interplay between music and storytelling. Notable collaborations include works with acclaimed poet Bill Harris and performances at prestigious venues like the Kennedy Center and Birdland.
