MUSEum+ at Colours of Ostrava 2026

Guided Tours of Blast Furnaces No. 4 and No. 6 in Dolní Vítkovice Before Reconstruction.

Blast Furnaces No. 4 and No. 6, located in the central area of Dolní Vítkovice, have remained without a new purpose since iron production ceased in 1998. The MUSEum+ project, the Industrial Museum in Ostrava, aims to transform this significant national cultural heritage site into a museum that will explore the past, present, and future of the industrial region.

Even before the planned renovation begins, Colours of Ostrava visitors will have a unique opportunity to explore these structures during a short guided tour and experience the authentic atmosphere of the former steelworks. The next opportunity for the public to visit the blast furnaces will only come after the reconstruction is completed and the museum opens, which is planned for 2029.
