Om arrangementet

A guided tour of the exhibition “Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe, 1200–1500” at the Convent of St. Agnes with art historian David Beitl, focusing on the acquisitions of the National Gallery in Prague and its predecessor, the Society of Patriotic Friends of the Arts. We will view masterpieces such as the Ara Oceli Madonna, the Roudnice Madonna, and the St. Vitus Madonna.

This tour, part of the Up Close with Art series, is held to mark the 230th anniversary of the National Gallery’s founding. It will focus on specific sections of the collections and examine them in greater detail. Each tour will offer a new perspective on a particular theme and place it within a broader context, helping visitors better understand the collection as a whole.
