Oil Painting Class - North Griffith Park

Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, a beginner friendly oil painting class.

🎨 This summer we'll be exploring En Plein Air (painting outside). We'll be outdoors in Elysian Park painting on french easels (provided).
In this 4 hour oil painting class we'll go over the materials and setting up our easels, how to build up the painting from sketch to color mixing and values. You'll also receive individual feedback and will be able to see a live demo of the process as well. I'll walk you through every step of the way!
👩🏽‍🎨 Bring your own canvas - this way you can choose the size you would like to paint. All other supplies provided.
🖼️ By the end of our time together you'll have a beautiful painting to take home with you!
🖌️ Only 6 spots available. No experience necessary. Must be able to carry the easel to your spot (they're not heavy, just bulky). Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, hats recommended.

Location
This class is hosted outdoors in Elysian Park. We will meet in the parking area, but I will confirm the exact location a few days before.

About your instructor
Tanya has been working in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 10 years. She studied oil painting at various studios in LA and Florence, Italy. Her goal is to share her love of painting with anyone who’s willing to try.

Classes are non-refundable but can be transferred to another class with 72 hours notice from scheduled start time.
