Orchestr Berg: Blízko

Contemporary music performed by the BERG Orchestra – an essay on dreams.

This April evening will offer vague childhood memories, images of the soul between worlds or dreamlike landscapes. Traditional music instruments will be accompanied by tape recorders, megaphones, human whispering and video.

The BERG Orchestra is an excellent Czech ensemble specialized in the performance of contemporary music. Since its inception it has commissioned and premiered almost three hundred new works. In 2021, it won the prestigious Prix Italia award for the Czech Republic for the first time in more than half a century.

This event is organized in collaboration of BERG Orchestra with Faculty of Humanities, Charles University.
