Join us for an engaging series of workshops centered around plants and creativity! 🌱 Each session features a dedicated educational segment on the highlighted plant, along with expert guidance on how to cultivate it in our region.
After learning, dive into a guided art activity inspired by the plant of the day. You'll leave with a beautiful piece of art and valuable growing information!
Workshops Overview:
- July 2: Explore the growth and care of allium; create a fireworks-inspired cyanotype print! 🎆
- July 9: Discover coleus and join a nature printing activity to make printed notecards with its leaves! 🌿📜
- CANCELLED - July 16: Learn about roses and craft your own using handmade cold porcelain! 🌹
- July 23: Investigate hibiscus and butterfly pea, and learn to dry these plants for tea blends. Use Japanese shibori techniques to dye your own bandana with natural dyes! 🎨🧣
- July 30: Find out how to grow and dry loofah, then create your own exfoliating, handmade soap using loofah discs! 🧼🍃
- August 6: Learn about different varieties of peppers and use them to handprint market tote bags! 🛍️🌶️
