Adam Sauer is an Electrical Engineer, Part 107 Pilot, IEEE Smart Village Committee volunteer, and VR Entrepreneur. His presentation will cover the IEEE Smart Village (ISV) Committee, which deploys grants and technical support for renewable energy systems in rural villages. These projects are primarily awarded based on their relevance to local social enterprises and educational use-cases.

Adam will discuss some of their supported efforts and their current technical focus on developing an open hardware and software stack designed with energy sovereignty at its core. Learn about the challenges faced in past projects, their current strategies, and the problems that still need solutions.
